Roleplay Example:
...The Eris Cabin. Noelle stood in front of it, garbed in a comfortable outfit consisting of a loose beige button down blouse with cuffed quarter sleeves, a pair of denim shorts, and black converse shoes, pondering upon whether she should open it or not. She eyed the door warily and her toes twitched. The Hermesian had a lot of spunk and pluck, but even the thought of entering a chaotic household sent a shiver down her spine. From outside it looked perfectly normal and harmless, but inside would be a whole different question. Children of the goddess of chaos managing a cabin was not a friendly idea. Inside would be total confusion and disorder; chairs and tables would be knocked over and drinks spilled everywhere; pillows fights with feathers billowing everywhere and blankets unfolded or on the ground. The windows would be smashed, the ceiling would have a bunch of sticky stuff drooping down from it, the smell of sharp smoke would come out of nowhere, a knife would be stuck to the wall and splotches of blood would be seen in the nooks and crannies of the cabin, and out of the closet a zombie would--

Okay, she was freaking out. The chaotic radiation was already getting at her. Nothing wrong was going to happen. It would just be an ordinary visit to a newly claimed friend and former fellow student of Mark. Noelle had been sourly confused when Mark had all of a sudden cut off their "apprenticeship" with him at the Long Island Sound, but despite her overwhelming bewilderment, she had kept good ties with Lillyan and Galen, for such good fellows they were. They both had an adventurous spirit and good humor, even if Galen was a tad bit quieter and timid. She felt obliged to give him a "welcome to your new cabin!" visit when she heard that he had been claimed, and was a bit surprised when it was by Eris. She had noticed some sort of feisty spirit in him but always thought that he was a son of some docile god. But whatever, his mother was his mother. A claiming was when a demigod was acknowledged by their biological parent, not some sort of divine sorting into a house like in Harry Potter. There was no, "But I thought your parent was so and so!" or "Your so smart, why aren't you a son of Athena?" Although everyone had the right to think that some god suited a demigod, they always came to an immediate acceptance when the demigod was claimed by an otherwise different god.

Galen told her that he would be unpacking his things in his new cabins during this time of the day, so she expected him to be inside. Maybe Kristaria would be in there, too. Taking a deep breath, she put her hand on the door knob and turned it, then pushed the door open. It revealed an actually organized room, even if some things were a bit messy. Much better than what it could have been with children who probably didn't know what control meant. Her eyes laid on the dark-haired boy at one of the bunks--although there was no white-haired Kris--and she grinned from ear to ear and quickly strode over to him. When she had reached him, she gave him a slap of the back, which she tended to do with boys who she was on good terms with. "Hey Galen," she said enthusiastically. "Congratulations again on knowing who your mother is. Kris is a really good sibling to have, I tell you." The girl was level-headed and had common sense for a child of Eris, characteristics that Noelle somewhat lacked when she was riled up.
