Being belittled, being outwitted, gossiping cliques of girls, bullies, not helping people who are being bullied

Hubris, although Elsie is clever she lacks wisdom, having lost her parents at a young age she's proven she can be difficult and childish, gullibility, grudges, loyalty

Her loyalty, being stubborn, cautious, calculating, her experience and knowledge on magic, her book smarts, and having (slightly clumsily) adapted to street smarts she has those as a strength too

Durmstrang was the worst school Elsie had ever been to in her opinion and it was like a prison to her.

Mirror of Erise:

Personality:

Elsie, since birth, was an ever so excitable little girl. When she was a baby, born with ADHD, she'd somehow managed to find her way out of the hospital's care and roaming the streets on a pathetic crawl (causing police squads to help find the missing baby), when she was three and didn't get the doll she wanted she screamed until her parents agreed. All these facts point to the one that clearly states that Elsie is who she is and does what she wants without any care of what others would think. She was always a daydreamer, little Elsie. Always dreamed of making miracles when she was older and all the while without any help and running about like a freight train. 'Course, she got her wish but instead of miracles, she mad disasters. Elsie is a wistful girl, stubborn and feisty, sarcastic and witty, intelligent and lazy all at the same time. She's a book smart girl who'd (rather clumsily) adapted to street smarts too. She's a cautious, level headed girl, but at the same time can take the most drastic course of actions if she feels it is right. The girl follows heart over head and although she may realize something's wrong, she'll always listen to her heart.

Having lost her parents at a young age to a fire, Elsie isn't the most mature person in the world. She's definitely stubborn and determined, she often doesn't realize what words and actions can hurt others, and like her dreams, she created huge things through charging into everything head first. Although, Elsie still has her wits about her and, often, she is cautious and thinks through her actions (Others call it decided thinking after becoming suspicious that Elsie chooses what things she wants to think about before doing which often gets her into serious trouble). Elsie's weaknesses are her hubris and her loyalty, along with holding serious grudges and her absolute gullibility. She'll believe anything one says if they give her a reason to trust in them. Her hubris goes two ways, in one, it is nice to say that she is confident in herself, in another it is not so nice to say she is overly confident. She'll brag time to time, think she's superior but generally she won't flaunt it. Her loyalty must be her fatal flaw though. Others, like simple friends, she'll practically die for. Provoking those close to her to get to her is not a good thing unless you want to die.

Elsie, though, isn't all diamonds, rainbows, and unicorns. With ADHD, she often jumps to conclusions, makes accusations that could ruin friendships. A heavy burden of guilt still rests on her after her parents' death and, although not anti-social, she doesn't let people get too close to her because she's convinced that she might hurt another again and that she doesn't deserve close friends. She's got a rebellious streak too. First impressions are a must with Elsie as she's easily annoyed and if you annoy her on first encounter she can act quite snarky for no reason (Though, she's was always a girl who's quick to apologize). Another sign of her having missed being taught these things by her deceased parents. She's not bossy, though. Actually, she prefers to stand in the shadows, a safer option to keep away from being caught by those who remember her parents death for killing them.

Not just this, but Elsie tends to have violent mood swings, taking her from completely happy to brooding in seconds. In general, Elsie is like a volcano. So inviting, curious that you need to check it out because it seems so wonderful with her adventurous, (mostly) kind side, wishful yet tactical thinking, and loyalty that cannot be compared to. Although, her, the volcano, could erupt at any moment with terrible mood swings, an easy to annoy personality, her crime filled past, and her (less than flaunting but still a bit noticeable) superior attitude.

Appearance:

Elsie is a girl and cares about her looks just as much as the next female but she's also a sporty one which might make it surprising to see that her skin isn't athletically tan or anything. Coming from Forks, Washington originally, Elsie never really saw much sun with so much rain she lived in, the result showing plainly on her pale skin that, and as much as she stays outside, her skin never actually tans much to her dismay. Her skin, although refusing to tan, is apparently happy to sunburn horribly so Elsie is usually seen with sunblock around her or on her when there's even the tiniest bit of sunshine, wether it had soaked into her skin or not yet. Overall, Elsie doesn't really call her skin her most redeeming feature. Though others might.

Being athletic doesn't make her tall, either. She's a sure runner but shorter than your average seventeen year old female, standing at five feet and pretty much only four inches, causing her to wear petite fitting clothes along the lines of orange, blue, red, or any neon colored garments as those are her favorite colors. She also has a strange love for her baseball cap that she tends to wear sideways, a sovereign that her father brought to her while traveling to Niagra Falls while on a business trip. A must have piece of clothing would be her fingerless gloves because they're comfortable and, well, yeah, cool! She always has her wand on her just in case.

It isn't just about clothes though because Elsie does have some redeeming physical attributes. Like her eyes. It's always said that the eyes are the windows to your soul and it couldn't be more true for Elsie. Elsie's bright sapphire eyes convey her emotions so often and make her extremely easy to read. It's not just her eyes, though. When she's nervous, she tends to play with her fingers or daggers at her belt or when she's excited, she tends to bite her nails or even brush her hands through her hair absently as if she isn't aware of it.

Speaking of hair, Elsie's is a very light blondie. Her locks are often mistaken for a platinum blonde as she her father had painfully pale hair too. Though, Elsie, herself, hates her hair the most. She often forgets her brush or her dorm mates steal it so she always or usually has noticeable tangles in it. Although, she is perfectly capable of getting back at the thief for revenge but she prefers psychological warfare over physical. Lilaea's hair, to cover the tangles and to get it out of her face, is usually-no, always up in a high ponytail. It's rare to ever see it down.

History:

Before having been sent to Durmstrang, Elsie was a regular little girl just like you and me back when we were young. She was a baby, had a mother, was scarred with the flaws of ADHD since she was born, and cried about twenty-four seven. There was nothing different, nor admittedly special about the young girl. Her mum and dad met in a local cafe' and supposedly clicked right away, their love grew fast and in a matter of months they got married and had Elsie, according to her mom. When Elsie was five, her mother's gold encrusted candles caught her eye. They were still lit and one pounce at them by Elsie, and they tipped over, causing a huge fire to spread throughout the house. Elsie, scared, toddled up to her room. Meanwhile, her family all perished in the fire. Elsie was burned, though, her arm bearing a long scar as proof. She was rescued by the fire department only a few minutes later and was put up for adoption. Soon, a couple named the Wynniegales, joyfully adopted her. They were a lovely couple but supported Voldemort and decided to send her to Durmstrang, one of the few schools that really learned the Dark Arts.

At the age of twelve, she was admitted into the school, pretending to be a pureblood by her adoptive parents' wishes. She had to move to Scandinavia to go and, painfully, the years at the darned school flew by quickly. While in the school, she faced abusive bullies that forced her to learn streetsmarts to defend herself with her wand and fists. And then something changed in her adoptive parents. Later, she learned that Voldemort had ordered Kayla Wynniegale's execution as punishment for her adoptive parents' failure in doing a mission. The Wynniegales no longer supported Voldemort, much to Elsie's relief.

They quickly transferred her to Hogwarts after learning about her misery at Durmstrang and now, she wishes for a new life at Hogwarts. In Hogsmeade, she runs a bookshop called "Bart's Bookshop" with her adoptive mum, Julia.

Roleplay Example:

Jane heard the footsteps before she smelt the other vampire. It was rather curious as her smell was supposed to be better than her hearing. Nevertheless, a faint thud, thud sound echoed in her ears as she brushed off the remains of the boulder and stood, her cloak billowing about yet again and briefly, the young vampire wondered if she could just take it off but reminded herself that it was formal attire to be worn as a member of the Volturi so instead, she suffered the heat that it caused and the way it swooshed around her ankles, surely causing a future trip or something. Finally ignoring her cloak for a moment, Jane lifted her head to the sky and curiously furrowed her eyebrows with a slight sniff in the scent's general direction. Idly, her deft fingers played with her hair until, abruptly, her pale fingers clenched around a fistful as her blood red eyes narrowed. The smell of blood was strong on this vampire. A newborn, that was what she thought. Or maybe not. The best she could hope for was an experienced non-veggie vampire because newborns were the hardest to deal with even if they were also the easiest to recruit. Or maybe this vampire was a veggie. Then the blood might be of an animal. It was confusing as many humans scents were mingled with this vampire's and silently, Jane cursed herself for coming to a place where there were so many humans that could easily confuse her smell. Nevertheless, she worked around it skillfully like she always had to do in Italy and found that there was the distinct smell of blood but from human or animal, Jane had yet to figure out. Either way, Jane was on guard. With a soft growl, Jane shifted slightly into a defensive crouch but it almost seemed as if she hadn't moved at all but the changes were evident as the vampire came into view.

The vampire was pale, like all of the vampiric race, and as he stepped into the sun, and without a cloak, his skin was vulnerable to the effects of the sun on vampires. The sun shone brighter ever so slightly and his skin sparkled like it was made of a thousand diamonds. Instead of gaping like a human would do, this just made Jane frown and glance around nervously. If a human were to see...Quickly, Jane threw the newcomer vampire a large cloak from which she had been given from Aro as a spare although it was way too large. The velvety red and black cloak landed on his head and Jane had to stifle her giggles, the only reason why she did was because she realized what she was wearing wasn't far from ridiculous being a velvet (And very itchy) dress of a gold waistband and her mandatory black cloak with her red eyes visible. She probably looked like a cosplay person or something. Realizing how stupid she was, Jane quickly shoved blue contacts on, it was the very least she could do to disguise herself. Hopefully, no human had seen. What would it matter anyway? They'd think she was a cosplay actress or something of those sorts. Studying the make vampire further warily, Jane found that he looked much older than her, around his mid-twenties, with crimson eyes also. A newborn, then? Growling, Jane strode toward him and shoved a pair of murky brown contacts into his hands.

"Wear them, if not, I'll be forced to hurt you," She threatened, low and steady as she stared at the vampire under her long eyelashes with her own blue contacts, She hoped she looked threateningly enough as she didn't want the humans to have the slightest clue of vampires existence even though she'd already messed up earlier. If he was to go parading around with his red eyes in plain site, she's faint and the humans would still know of the vampires. It was always best to take precautions.

"And put the cloak on, there's no where to hide from the sun now. I should have come at night. You should have come at night!" Thus Jane blamed it all on the supposed newborn vampire but then shook her head with an eye roll as she sighed.

"Never mind. Would you spare a few minutes to talk, vampire?" She suggested as the wind blew in to make her cloak billow out as she paced the perimeter of the cliff almost irritably. And she tripped. She knew it was going to happen but she still was unprepared for the fall or the impact of her and the ground's meeting. The wind was blowing her face faintly and before she knew it, her face was pressed against the ground. Even though she was undoubtedly unhurt, she couldn't escape from being unfazed. It wasn't that it physically pained her, it was the concept of falling. It reminded her yet again of why she had come to the cliffs in the first place. In her years of being a vampire, many have tried and failed to make Jane meet the ground, to push her down, literally and metaphorically speaking. It had always resulted badly for the offenders but Bella Cullen, the plague, the bane, of Jane's existence had managed and the girl was just a human. Now, as her eyes stared at the ground, she realized that was where she had fallen. To the ground by the hand of Isabella Swan. Growling loudly, Jane pushed herself up and glared at the other vampire, daring him to comment when her brother's voice rang out.

She should have sensed him, smelt him, but she was too lost in her thoughts and self pity. Disgustingly, Jane lectured herself and demanded for her head to come right back down from the clouds. Now, as her twin brother stood near, she could smell him. Rolling her eyes at Alec's comment, she responded coolly.

"I am not hiding Alec. You can see me fine from where you are standing, yes?" She responded with a haughty flick of her hair while she put up her index finger to signal to the other male to wait one minute.

"And why would I be hiding from those flea carrying mongrels anyway? Are you calling me a coward?" With narrowed eyes, Jane turned back to the male with a huff as she crossed her arms over her chest with an annoyed kind of mood to the simple action.

"If I am to talk to you, or at least interrogate you, I must know your name," She pointed out and waited for his reply while shooting her brother sideways glances with raised eyebrows, like, "Really?"
